Cevap: Tshabalala Sivasspor'a mı ?
Turkish Premier League side Sivasspor has tabled an offer for Bafana Bafana flying winger Siphiwe Tshabalala, which has been turned down as not worth the player’s qualities and abilities.
The player’s business manager Jazzman Mahlakgane confirmed, from Paris on Thursday night, that the Turkish tabled €500 000 for the services of the man, who scored the first goal in the first ever Fifa World Cup staged on African soil when he blasted an unstoppable screamer in the opening match against Mexico.
“Yes, I can confirm that Sivasspor tabled an offer, which after careful consideration, I did not even hesitate to turn down,” said Mahlakgane, who disclosed that after discussing the offer with Kaizer Chiefs it was felt that the offer felt far too short from what they believe Tshabalala was worth.
“There are a few other offers on the table,” continued Mahlakgane, “but for now I can safely confirm that of the offers that have been tabled, the Turkish offer has been rejected and we are speaking to other interested parties.”
Tshabalala’s stock has certainly risen after his spectacular goal and there are reportedly offers from France, Denmark and Sweden and all of them are being carefully considered. Even though nothing has been finalised yet, it is a foregone conclusion that “Shabba” will be lost to South African football within a matter of weeks, if not days.
